Service 07 — Brand

Identity that survives contact with real media.

Positioning, naming, identity and the guidelines that hold it together. Designed to work at ad size in a feed and on a sign, not only on a presentation slide.

01 — The problem

Why rebrands disappoint.

Four reasons identity work fails to change anything commercially.

01

Solving the wrong problem

A rebrand cannot fix a demand problem. If the offer or the price is the objection, new colours will not move it.

02

Designed at poster size

Marks that look considered at A3 and turn to mud at 48 pixels in a feed, which is where they will mostly be seen.

03

No rules for the hard cases

Guidelines covering the logo and nothing about a discount post, an Arabic headline or a stack of six product photos.

04

Nothing to hand a team

A PDF and no working templates, so within two months everyone is improvising and the identity drifts.

02 — What we do

Four moves, in order.

  1. 01

    Settle the positioning first

Design decisions follow strategic ones. We agree who you are for, what you claim and what proof you have, before anything visual is drawn.

    • Audience and competitor review
    • Positioning and proof points agreed
    • Naming or renaming if needed
  2. 02

Design the system at real sizes

Every mark is tested at feed size, on a phone, in a story frame and on print before it is signed off. If it fails at 48 pixels it is not finished.

    • Logo system with small-size variants
    • Type and colour tested for contrast
    • Bilingual lockups designed together
  3. 03

Write rules for the awkward cases

The guidelines cover the situations that actually break brands — promotions, Arabic headlines, dense product grids, partner co-branding.

    • Rules for promotions and price-led work
    • Arabic and English typographic pairing
    • Co-branding and partner usage
  4. 04

    Ship working templates

You leave with editable templates for the formats you use weekly, so the identity holds without a designer in the room every time.

    • Social, ad and document templates
    • Editable files, not just PDFs
    • A training session with your team

What this looks like in practice

48px

is the size every mark we design has to survive — because that is where most people will see it. Identity work here is judged in the feed, not on the presentation slide.

Worth doing if

  • Your visual identity is holding your marketing back rather than helping it
  • You are entering a new market or merging two identities
  • You have grown past the identity you started with

Fix something else first if

Rebrands rarely fix a demand problem. We would rather tell you that in the first call than take the project and watch it disappoint.

03 — Questions

About
branding.

Do we need a full rebrand?

Usually not. Refining an existing identity and fixing the system around it costs a fraction of a rebrand and solves most of what people bring us.

How many directions do we see?

Two or three developed properly, rather than eight thumbnails. Each one comes with the reasoning and applied examples so you can judge it in use.

Do you do naming?

Yes, including availability and trademark screening in the UAE, and checking how the name reads and sounds in Arabic.

What do we actually receive?

Logo files in every format, type and colour specifications, written guidelines, and editable templates for the formats you use most.

Will you help roll it out?

We can handle the rollout across site, social and print, or hand the system to your team with training. Both are common.
